On today's evidence, it's gonna be a four way fight between the Vauxhall drivers. But let's wait to see what Pug can do with their gorgeous 406 Coupe... It's hard to decide, but it's gonna be a hell of a lot of fun finding out!

Subjectively, the vote goes to any Lexus or Alfa driver, but objectively, it's gotta be the Frog...

Veteran Mr P - he is younger than Soper - so what does that make Soper?

Senile Soper maybe (after the shennanigans Monday maybe that's right!)

Needless to say, it will be a Vauxhall that takes the spoils. It's been a long time coming...

OH PLEASE. Yes it will be a Vauxhall But it'll be Thompson that'll do the job. here's why
Muller: too French (need i say more other than look @ Gronholm this year. lacking consisancy)
Plato: not consistant
Bennett: too early to comment
Thompson: fast, consistant, (look at what he achieved in 98 in what he said was an under powered Accord)

however much i thought (and wanted) yvan to win it this year i think it will either be jason or thommo.but if i had a gun to my head i would proberbly have to say thommo cos i reckon he is more consistent even though JP has got more speed.

It certainly looks like Yvan, JP or Thommo after the first round.

Hopefully the Pug's can get up to speed before the Astra's get a large enough points lead.

Don't discount Phil Bennett, and Peugeot will be there soon. Just remember VLR in 1992, they hardly scored in the first half of the season, then won the championship.

I would like to put my money on James Thompson, with Steve Soper a strong contender (soon-ish!). However, Yvan Muller just looks like he's on a different level to the others. He will be a tough cookie to crack!

Jason Plato or Matt Neal? Nah... they are both totally over-rated. Phil Bennett or Dan Eaves? Nah... they are the new boys - then can be champions some other time!

As 'Eaves is no 1' says, remember how VLR caught up in 1992...

I don;t know about Yvan being miles ahead. JP has dominated the last test, and i really think he will run Yvan close, with Thommo third. Remember last year there was nothing to seperate JP and Yvan.

Also, Steve Soper certainly looks like Peugeots strongest driver by quite a way judging by Brands and the tests. Dan Eaves looks like he's still getting to grips with the car and Matt Neal apparently may be splitting with VLR.

I can't (yet) believe the rumours about Matt Neal and Peugeot/VLR. I mean, just what is the evidence? OK, so he wants to guest a ESTC race - so what? There is no reason why he can't do that! Muller and Plato played in the Bathurst 1000 last year, didn't they? And when Soper took Neal's car around Thruxton, of course Neal's sponsors had to be covered up... as Neal wasn't driving it!

Yvan Muller has been ahead on most test sessions (OK, so they don't really mean anything!), but, crucially, he's been at the front of all the qualifying and races to far (except when his car broke down in the Brands feature race). Before that failure, no-one else could touch him.

IN qualifying at Brands though, he was only 2-thousanths of a second faster than Thommo, and 2-hundredths quicker than JP. That is hardly domination.
