Hamish Weir should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Costs involved

What costs are involved in doing a season in northern Formula Ford? Getting the car. Admin fees for the club. Transport to and from circuit. What spares would people recomend? Where can you get storage centraly in England so its easy to get to the surrounding circuits?

Hamish,
Take a look at brsccnw.com on Ian Smith Pages. There are many Race Hire / Preparation Teams listed who do the NW Championship. They will be able to answer all of your questions.

Hamish, it depends what you are doing. If we assume NWFF? You join BRSCC, £120 racing membership from memory plus £50 for championship. Last year entry fees for a single race was £165 and £270 for a double header. Set of tyres are £400 new. (Prices are rough as I'm doing from memory) 0.5 litre petrol per lap of Fosters. To start of with I guess spares are what you've got. If someone else has bits needed most will sell/lend to you. Build up as you get to know what's needed. I don't know about storage and transport cost depend on distance etc. PM me if you wnat to go into more detail. Hope this helps
