How do you fancy helping out at one of the fastest and most spectacular events of the year at Mallory Park? British Superkarts - 250 & 125's along with the British Sprint Championship. You'll be paid a tenner towards expenses and be bought a drink at the end, go on, you know you want to - pm me or email me @ dbrice@btinternet.com

sounds manic - like sidecars with an extra wheel. What sort of lap times to these guys manage compared to other fast and shiny things?

sorry I'm elsewhere, or might have come along just to see something so different.

250 Nat lap record is 44.94, average of 99.78mph. This year it should be even quicker

I did this meeting last year (I think it was held about May time) & All I say is they are nuts, absolute nuts but brillant.
I'm at Wembley the day before (1st trip to the rebuilt stadium) so don't know what state I'm going to be in on Sunday morning.

Dave will it be ok if I just turn up as an extra? Don't want to say yes & then let you down as I'm still p****d from day before?

If you're thinking about going to this meeting I'd advise you to try to it, it's good fun & both the sprint drivers & Superkart drivers are a really friendly bunch. Plus you might get to see the Audi TT do a full lap on fire whilst dumping oil all the way round.

Just as a matter of interest. Does anyone know (Dave probably will & I think has mentioned it before) what the lap record is at Mallory.
I think I heard it was an F3 or F2 car.

The lap record is held by Johan Rajamaki (set in May '97) in a Footwork Arrows FA13 with a time of 38.23 seconds.
