The Maseratis are Coming!

The Maserati Trofeo will make its world racing debut at the Australian GP. The cars will compete in the Nations Cup support race (the only race that freaking channel 10 won't show!)

"A localised Maserati race department", Trident Racing, has been formed, and will be operated by local Pirelli Motorsport boss, Rod Wilson in Melbourne.

Now I love my Maseratis, and this is great news, but I must question the choice of drivers - Gary Young and Rod Wilson will be the drivers in Melbourne. However it does appear that the driver line up is less than settled.

So much for the death of NC. With Trident, and possibly Cirtek joining, and Brocky doing the AGP, I can't see the category dying in the near future.

What's wrong with Gary Young and Rod Wilson?

Nothing's wrong with them, they are good solid drivers. I just thought Trident might go for more of a "name" driver.

I hope they go exceptionally well.

Alfredo Costanzo could make a comeback perhaps?

Gricey raced a ute, so did Warren Luff

Have Trident got anything to do with PHR, i thought they had something to do with the Trofeo's.

Whats the latest on Geoff Morgan, his Viper is on the entry list for the AGP, is he definatly racing?

Alfie was great! Remember when he and Canto won the GTP race at Sandown in the Ghibli?

I'm pretty sure Trident are their own entity.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that. The press release kept referring to "gentleman" racers.

I'd much prefer them to mount a serious attack on the championship, with at least one dedicated driver.

I mean we're talking serious sportscars here, not Daewoo Cup.

Welcome hearwegoagain!
