Tailwind should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hand on pole

Joey Hand is on the provisional pole for Toyota/Atlantic. He is off to a strong start this year. Hopefully he will keep healthy this year and have a good run at the championship. I'd like to see him in a Champ Car next year.

That's only provisional, it'll all change in a few minutes.

Stuff like this should go in the 'other single seaters' forum really. Perhaps it can be moved?

I'd like to see some of the Atlantic guys get a go in CART, but I don't think the standard is as high as F3000, which is where Newman-Haas and Walker went for drivers who didn't ahve to bring any real funding. The guys from Altantic and IndyLights have generally been outdone in the last 5 years, Tracy, Carpentier and Servia are rare exceptions.

Just watching the race, Valiente's leading and pulling away, and Macri's pushing Hand for third.

Bit of a rookie mistake by Allmendinger in turn 1 knocking Diaz off the track and damaging his front wing. These cars aren't as strong as Barber Dodges.

Valiente should be in Cart, he's creamin' the field in an il-handling car. Danica Patrick is doing quite well in third too, pressing Macri.

Results:

1. Valiente
2. Macri
3. Patrick
4. Dalziel

Valiente led most of the race with Macri pressing towards the end. Patrick gave Macri some pressure mid-race but fell back as her car went away. Dalziel and co. have some work to do.
