Brocks 01's
With Peter Brock stating he's running 2 01 Dallara Opel's, just a a coulpe of points. Is he running at Clipsal? if so is he running them with cars currently in the country or getting them from overseas? The obvious driver is James Brock with another seat for a pay driver. Great news for F3 in Oz

No JB in F3.
And I don't think that Team Brock will stretch to F3 this year. Definitely next year from what I hear. |

And why use an '01 Dallara this year when you could have an '04 neat year?

Noise around suggested perhaps BRM would relabel their cars for 2004....

I agree, but lets not forget Mr Palmer funded his son into this team to some extent, and the T2 unit is Holden powered and also a BRM unit in appearance.
Its the closest match.... |

No, but Darren still runs the T2 unit with help from BRM, so they cant be totally off each other.
Is there another logical fit? Nobody else runs 2 cars with Opels aboard do they? |

I thought the T2 had gone to QLD? And there are a few Opel cars for sale at the moment, James Cresseys car comes to mind.

The Ian Dyk car is also to be Opel powered... he would make a good Brock prodigy Although the sponsor in Selleys would be at odds with the support Brock gets from Clorox brand Armor All

Who does the "Driving for life" drive schools? I'm sure there'll be one of that lot that would want a crack.

I know Brockie has had his eye on a Qld. Kart driver. Maybe he is groomed for F3.

I get the feeling from what PB has written on PROCAR that Team Brock will take a role at an existing team, when he says in the release "A third arm of the Team Brock operation will also see it associated with two GM-powered Formula 3 cars"
I also get the feeling the team is closer to us than we may think but good on them, and I wish Team Brock and their new partner all the very best. |
