hooray!
it was a weird race for me to watch cos i'm travelling so i had to go to a bar to watch it, and there was no sound! so i really don't know everything that happened, but there was no mistaking that green #11 crossing the line first! go Kanaan!

well done to Tony but I was going for dario as I picked him to win this round , oh well he was close.

pretty good race with lots of action , and total domination by two teams really , Rahal and Andretti , simply the class of the field.

that was th first IRL race i have seen, living in Australia irl is almost unheard of unless you have cable, and it seems the irl is bringing some really good close racing. I havent seen any owr oval racing in a few years and now i rememeber why oval racing provides the best racing.

Decent race and a good crowd ! It was kind of expensive for some teams though. The car of Ed Carpenter was a total write-off as the first hit cleaned off the right side suspension and some of the undertray but then it hit the wall again with just the tub and that hurt it bad. It's a show car now. Foyts was mostly hang-on pieces as was Taylors. Rice needs new left rear corner and Manning will need some work to the right side rear undertray and a new wing. Alex Barron came from dead last to finish 3rd in a Chevy powered car. Pretty impressive IMO. Tony K drove a super race and deserved the win!.

Another great race, with an awful lot of action going on up and down the grid.

This new engine and aero package are real winners. The cars can really race close together, even going 3 wide at times. And the Safer-Barrier, what can you say? It's fantastic. Great stuff!

Agreed that AGR and Team Rahal are the teams to beat now. But I must say that Alex Barron put in a great drive, to save some face for Chevy. He was able to hang with the leaders at the end. Meira was solid all night to, and Greg Ray, way to go! Didn't even think you'd make the race, and by the way, I didn't recognise the new colors! LOL!

AJ Foyt IV, and Mark Taylor just have to stay out of trouble. They cannot keep hitting the wall like this. Mark was actually running his best race until, blammo!

Great crowd, over 90,000. They were surely entertained.

IronLion, I think you may have revealed a major part of what is wrong with road racing, other than stupid contrived rules.
Many, especially major road racing courses used to have long straights and most often sweeping high speed curves in which it was still possible for top drivers to go side by side, as often as not.
Today, with the saftey naz-s out protecting everyone, the courses have become shoot and squirt go-kart tracks closer in relation to a 1/4 mile midget bull-ring than a high speed test of skill.
It takes talent to win on a bull-ring, ask anyone who has won the Little 500, but it is a totally different style than is used to win on a high speed sweeping course in which a opponet can pass on either side depending on how much room you give him, or how big his balls are.
It was tracks like Daytona-pre-chicane, Spa, LeMans-before they butchered the Mulsanne, Riverside that made road racing pull in oval fans, because in mamy ways, on some tracks, the same principles applied.
Thank you IronLion, the mystery of, at least part, of what was missing from road racing has been revealed.

Defintely agree with you here Bob. The "Authorities" have butchered some really terrific (well, formerly terrific) tracks with chicanes and corners with an "improved" radius.

I thought that when the cars got too fast for the track you changed the formula. Now they change the track!

As Bill France Sr. said (If he were still alive, I think he would be stomping all over Juniors head) when they said the Talledega track was too fast-"The gas pedal goes both ways."

You don't change the formula, you tell drivers who can't handle it to go somewhere else.

Accuracy and Paul Page don't go together comfortably on a regular basis.
