Sato suffers big crash at Jerez...

Autosport are reporting that Sato has binned his BAR in a big way, hope he's ok.
One things certain, if he has wrecked the 007 chassis, isn't that going to severly hamper their test program?

"Binned"?

"He has wrecked"?

The rear wing failed - don't make it sound like driver error

Logrence should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Are we going to see a lot more of these wing 'failures' as the teams try and claw back some of the lost downforce?

BAR were reputed to have a dodgy wing last year, weren't they. McLaren as well, I think.

Funny how Monster has (unintentionally) reinforced the popular misconception that Sato is still a crasher. Last year he made contact during a race once, and that didn't put any cars out.

Anyway, is there any confirmation that Taku is okay?

You couldn't be any further from the truth.
I didn't write those words with any thoughts about his past performances, thats just how I say/write things.
Its like if a car spins in qualifying a commentator might say "he's spun it" doesn't necessarily mean it was his fault (it could be a car failure), just a figure of speech

But yes, I acknowledge it wasn't his fault as his rear wing broke (incidentally, when I wrote that first post I was at work so couldn't actually read the Autosport story, only the headline).
