24hrs-has anybody heard...!

What the score is regarding a good turn-out of marshals for the event. It will need be a big gang of bods to make sure the thing runs well so has anyone got any ideas how many maybe are marshaling the event etc-it would be a great shame if the required amount can not be found and it all goes pearshaped or will it be a huge success?...lets hope so!

pete harding how many marshalls do you have "signed up " for your events at silverstone? this might give us clue to as how many marshalls are "wanted" for 24hr race there

Peter, I think you may find that this will be organised by BRSCC (midland & east anglia). If you wish to volunteer then go to www.brscc.co.uk where you can find volunteering forms etc... or if you wish this can be done online at www.marshals.org.uk and follow links for brscc midland. the more the merrier please should be a good event, and planning meetings i believe have started

Remember this will be held on the GP circuit, so you can't really compare it to a 750 meeting, numbers wise!

I'll be there.

Last weekend the 2CV's had a 24 hour race at Snetterton. I know Snetterton has only 8 post compares to Silverstones 18 (or so) but how many Marshals covered the posts at Snetterton. This will really give a guide how many Marshals are required for a event of this length.

For the record Andrew Silverstone GP circuit has 28 flag points and i believe approx 18 observer boxes, that may give you a fair idea of numbers required
