What has happened to Toni Ruokkenen??

After losing out on a Peugeot BTCT drive , i have heard little. This weeks MN says he has been linked to a Mitsubishi BTCP drive , but surely this would be a come down for an ex-works peugeot driver.......

I think it came down to Ruokkonen or Dan Eaves for the third Pug BTCT driver-Eaves got it. I certainly think he deserves a BTCT driver, and i'm sure he would not really like a non-works BTCP drive. At Brands last year he easily outpaced Alan Morrison, just like Eaves did at Oulton and Silverstone. He deserves adecent drive.

Between Dan and Toni I think that peugeot chose Dan because PR wise he is more marketable (a langauge thing). After that I think it boils down to money which he does not have enough of. A great shame because he deserves a good drive.

If Vauxhall are fielding four 888 Astras and a further two for privateers, perhaps Pug will run a fourth 406? I know its unlikely at this stage of the season, but you never know-Ruokkonen may get a chance he deserves in a 406 Coupe.
