Stargazer7 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
So, what will the rules for 2006 be?

Not what we want, but what we objectively predict, concerning everything...

Chassis - largely the same as now.

Engines - 2.4l v8.

That much is confirmed.

There may be some tweaking of the sporting regulations vis-a-vis qualifying and pitstops.

So can we characterise 2006 (and even 2007) as "transitional period"?

I don't see anything too drastic as regards reg changes for the next couple of years. MS's thoughts on the upcoming qually change.http://www.itv-f1.com/News_Article.aspx?PO_ID=34336

Wasn't it stated that once engine size was reduced traction control would be banned again?

I think that it was also stated that each team would have a flying pig suspended at least a minimum of 200 metres above their Headquarters.

Suffice to say that i'm still waiting.

Just what exactly are you trying to say?

I recall a year or so ago when it was said that traction control would be in place because:

1. The cars would be too dangerous without it.
2. It was impossible to control it.

However, supposedly, once the engines got smaller #1 wouldn't be a problem anymore and, with the smaller engines there would be standar ECUs therefore solving #2. It's a shame this discussion was so easily forgotten by the FIA and the Teams.

Sorry,just a little sarcasm there.

As for TC and ECU's,well nothing is going to change for next year and probably nothing for 2007 either. And as for 2008,well.....................
