Winton

Welcome Mr Guest...I like your rallying.....

It dosen't have a round??? of the Supertaxis?? sheesh! theres more to life than Ford vs Holden silhouettes charging around the place....

What about the terrific Historic rounds Winton has held and I assume there are also club level meetings held there.....

get along and support your local scene...you may be surprised how much you like it

Already off the topic about Winton, but Calder was always my favourite. I went to the V8's the year when Morris won in the Big Kev car. It was awesome, the crowd was huge and the atmosphere was great. Shame there are no V8's there as well.

Back on topic, Winton has come a long way over the past years. I have noticed a lot of new things happening there, not only in buildings and infastructure, but new events. Good to see a track with a bit of gumption.

Thanks Guest, we think Winton is a great track too, you should go to their webiste and have a look at the calendar, there is still lots of good racing going on there, and it looks even better for next year.

Thanks for your support

Yes Big Trev, I am aware of what goes on at Winton, I get up there occasionally to see whats going on. Its not a bad drive from here, Phillip Island is about the only vic track I dont get too. It is a terrible drive and a terrible place. (My opinion)

Same dose of surprise to find the Mayor of the Gold Coast, Silver 2 running down Winton & the people who speak favourably about it...

It must be lonely being a PIARC member now the Fox Corp are planning to remove your incestuous, boys club of an organisation from THEIR circuit altogether.

Even BAC member's have their own track......

Flaming this thread, ab-so-lutley.... Fishing for weasels, I'm sure there's one lurking somewhere.......

Shut it down before this Silver 2 makes us all sick with his Anti- Winton Rhetoric....

Guest, nothing personal dude, just sick & tired of a wannabe PIARC president running down a fine place......

UC , I do not , have not 'run down' Winton in any shape or form. I like Winton, I like going there ,I like the area and I like and respect the people that run Winton. Please do not attribute something to me that is not factual. Constructive criticism is intended to help - not hurt Wintons future. You jump far to far with conclusions based on nothing. For the record(along with 3 other clubs) I am a PIARC member -- not one they would hardly claim I might add-- and certainly not in the sense that you imply. Why do you not put poison pen into action to encourage Winton to say openly and unequivocally that they want and will run a round of the CAMS sanctioned SRS.

Well, for a starter, and I know its not anyones fault, everytime I have been there it has been ****ing down rain. And the added fact of standing in the rain and not being able to see much racing, and a long boring drive to get there. Just my opinion!

The historic Shannons Phillip Island on again Feb 11 is the best meeting of the year, bar none.Take an extra couple of days and go via the Kevington Hotel and Valhalla, come back to Sydney via Omeo--you won't be bored!

gotta love Winton, but it was better before they extended.Dissipated the energy and crowd, got a bit ugly.

ah yes, but sometimes things HAVE to be done to keep the biggest show in town, an even then they still walk away at the whim of the greatest HRT owner of all time. ($1 down and $1 per week to buy a race team- )
