Vanilla Dice has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Whincup to win the title in 2006?

Good performance by the young kid over the last 2 days.

Big question, can he carry that speed to win the title..

He has already shown that he can go as quick in qualifying as his more highly fancied (and MUCH better paid) teammate while some of the race pace eludes him

Did you notice the last few laps of R2 yesterday, the car was locking wheels, getting out of shape..being driven very roughly on shagged tyres... is this the drive of a champion??

Or has Holden's Kelly Bros Mafia got too much of a tiger in the tank?

Pro Racer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
i think he is a great talent the championship could be won by anyone on the day but i think the main contenders are (lowndes, ingall, whincup,s.richards, kelly bros, tander, skaife, murphy, mconville) the maybe's to chalange (coutney,j.richards, canto(if gary gives him a decent car),dumbrell(if he keeps it on the black stuff and out of trouble)).

Reverse grids will decide the champion. Talent seems to have nothing to do with who becomes champion it would seem.

Jamie did a hell of a job though.

SBR searched the world for Marcos' replacement and yet the answer was probably a lot closer than they realised.

exactlly it will be who stays clean and as garth tander said in his interview with crompton you dont have to go from last to first as long as your around your competitors for the weekend.

And he gets to the press conference and bleats and cries that he wasnt considered championship winning material.. till one of the media jockeys asks if he can win the series, and he gets all defensive and shy and says he doesnt know

I think the responses were lame, trying to be a cocky little so and so for winning the weekend, when Craig did badly of course

In the end he is 5 points in front of Crash Bandicoot.. whoopsiedoodle..

I was very disappointed with some of Whancups comments over the weekend... he came out with some stuff my 7-year old son would have thought was immature... (Worst job? "Driving a Holden") I mean loyalty to your new employer and brand is one thing, but I thought he came across as very.... well.... juvenile.

I have spoken to him on a few occasions and i dont think he is the sharpest tool in the shed but great drive from him on the weekend. Bet Murphy is spewing he let him go.

Ol' Wal Storey is spewing they let Jamie go..

Too bad so sad..

What was that stuff in the Saturday press conference when Jamie made it sound like he only had a race to race deal with 888? Something about now being allowed to go to NZ?

I was waiting for Jamie to have a sling at Gazza the Datsun dealer, but he never did.

That was something I'm sure he regrets saying. You really don't want to close doors in motorsport, and that comment wouldn't have helped.
