Hey, lets all run F1 into the ground.
Whats so wrong with having an engine freeze for say six months, is that not sensible? |

F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport and I love it, although if they raced with formula fords i'd be well up for that!!

Nismo has an understandable point, since every sports has a pinnacle which there souldn't be such limitations; blimey there are hundreds of formulae around the world whose aim is to freeze costs, did they absolutely need F1 to join the caravan of love?
What makes me doubtful about Max' choice is the claim to bring an equilibrium among teams by that. Completely wrong: richer teams will spend their exceeding money till the last euro to grant themselves an advantage: extra testing, more windtunnel, CFD etc. Who have extra resources to feed their programmes will exploit them. Furthermore imposing more and more limitations just opens the door to possible loopholes, helping the most astute to actually cheat albeit formally respecting the rules. |

There is already a thread on this. The other thread contains similar views to this, although expressed well and with consideration of other's views.
