Maserati MC12

Here the Maserati MC12's
2. ZAMDF44B000015439 – 2006 Vitaphone Racing (FIA GT)

3. ZAMDF44B000015440 – 2005 Maserati Corse (ALMS)

4. ZAMDF44B000015441 – 2005 JMB Racing (FIA GT) – 2006 ??

6. ZAMDF44B000015442 – 2004 AF Corse (FIA GT) – Auctioned in 2005, tested for Japan GT 2006 by team Goh, but was not competitive enough.

7. ZAMDF44B000015443 – 2006 Vitaphone Racing (FIA GT)

8. ZAMDF44B000015444 – 2005 JMB Racing (FIA GT) – 2006??

?. ZAMDF44B000012101 – 2006 Pakelo Racing (Italian GT)

?. ZAMDF44B000012102 – 2006 Playteam (Italian GT)

Cars are listed in building order. Dunno about nr.1 and 5, probably test vehicles or sold to private collectors.

Yes it is. There are two MC12's in Italy. The Pakelo Racing one is the Racing box car.

See: http://www.pakeloracing.com/index_en...goria&lang=eng

The other car, the blue one, is the Playteam car, they both drive alongside this year.

I have the (unconfirmed) number 3 for the PlayTeam MC12 and the 5 for the Racing Box MC12.
But i heard that the Racing Box car should be a new factory car That can be understood as "a car that was raced by the factory" or as "delivered direct from th efactory to Racing Box". The #5 raced never before and i can´t believe that Maserati build #9 and #10

Odd, because the chassis number 2 is in the 2007 starting list as seen on project leMans. Let's try to clear the 2007 situation:

FIA GT nr. 1 : Vitaphone = ZAMDF44B000015439 (chassis 2) ???

FIA GT nr. 2 : Vitaphone = ZAMDF44B000012101 (chassis 9) ??? ex Pakelo??

FIA GT nr.11 :Scud. Playteam Sarafree = ZAMDF44B000015443 (chassis7)

FIA GT nr.12 :Scud. Playteam Sarafree = ZAMDF44B000012102 (chassis10)

FIA GT nr.16 : JMB = ZAMDF44B000015441 (chassis 4)

Is this correct? Where are the others?

FIA GT nr. 15 : JMB RACING = ZAMDF44B0000 15444 (chassis 8)

ALMS nr. 27 : DORAN LISTA RACING = ZAMDF44B0000 24053 (chassis ?)

MC12 Corse 0001 was shown at the 2007 Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance. It is owned by a German collector. As far as I know it was never raced.

Any idea how many road and racing cars were eventually produced? Does the 50 figure initially stated include road and racing cars? Are the 12 MC12 Corsa cars additional chassis?

I believe 55 was the final tally for road cars. 50 offered for sale while 5 went to Ferrari/Maserati personnel or were retained by the factory.

12 MC12 Corsa's were sold and a further 3 retained by the factory.

Does that 55 include the GT1 racing cars? That would make it 70 MC12s in total?

I don't believe so. 25 road cars from the first batch +5 other cars which stayed at Ferrari (most of them not painted blue/white), and then 25 road cars from the second batch.

Scuderia Playteam's #12 MC12 was apparently up for auction last week.

Website claims chassis number is "22797", but I assume they're wrong.

They were part way correct, the chassis number for the #12 Scuderia Playteam Sarafree car is #010/22797.

Thanks all. Here are some questions? Thank you very much.

1. #001 ever built?
2. #005 exists?
3. Chassis number for Pekelo/Megadrive/Racing Box #1 (2005 Italian GT) and Racing Box/Vodafone #1 (2006 Italian GT), I believe it is the same car. #XXX/12101.
4. Chassis number for Scuderia Playteam Sarafree #9 (2006 Italian GT), #XXX/12102 if the above message is correct.
5. Scuderia Playteam also raced A Maserati MC12 at Mugello round of 2006 FIA GT, Car #40, Pier Guidi crashed the car in the rain immediately after taking over from Toni Vilander. What is the chassis number for that car, is it the same as they raced in 2006 Italian GT? That way it should be #XXX/12102. But do not forget, the two cars Scuderia Playteam raced in 2007 FIA GT were Car #11 (#007/15443) and #12 (#010/22797), of cause, the #007 came from 2006 Vitaphone Car #2. #010/22797 should be new, is this the car they raced for 2006 Italian GT and 2006 FIA GT Mugello round?
6. Racing Box also won 2005 6 Hours of Vallelunga endurance event with a Maserati MC12 (Car #20), I believe it is the same car as they races in 2005 Italian GT.

I have cleared up the rest. If you have questions, please drop me a line.

GTFever should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi there. After a busy time of work i have some time now to work on my GT car hobby again, and on this topic.

I have read the comments after i started this one, and i have 2 cents of my own:

Chassis #001 : I don't think it is the Corse #001 that was auctioned to Hubert Haupt last year. The Corse or Corsa version is not the same as the GT1 version as far as i know, but is a limited number of MC12's that are inspired on the original GT1 car. This is also stated here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maserati_MC12

So, the balance:

Chassis 01. ??
Chassis 02. 15439 (Vitaphone car, retired to museum)
Chassis 03. 15440 (The Maserati Corse 2005 ALMS car) Auctioned ??
Chassis 04. 15441 (2006, 2007 JMB Car) Still at JMB??
Chassis 05. 12102 (The Pakelo 2005 Italian GT car, 2006 Racing Box)
Chassis 06. 15442 (2004 AF Corse car) Auctioned late 2004
Chassis 07. 15443 (Vitaphone, 2007 Scuderia Playteam, 2008 Vitaphone)
Chassis 08. 15444 (JMB Racing 2005, 2007)
Chassis 09. 15445 (Vitaphone 2007 & 2008)
Chassis 10. 22797 ( Playteam Sara Fee 2006 & Scuderia Playteam 2007)
Chassis 11. 24053 (Doran Lista Racing) Now??

Main questions : Is this list correct, and where are the cars now??

Which one did Team Goh have for entring SuperGT? Which wasn't a succes while testing. I beleave Team Goh still has that car
Did they buy the Doran Lista ALMS or the Corse ALMS? From what i recall is that they bought a previous ALMS MC12

In 2006, Team Goh entered ZAMDF44B0000 15442 (06) in Super GT, but the team and the car did not race.

The car was in full size version, but wasn't competitive against Super GT's cars. Goh withdrawned.

Before, the car ran in FIA GT in 2004, Bertolini/Salo won Zhuhai race.

Kazumichi Goh is may be the owner of the car now, but I don't know more.
