Sorry for double posting.
But on JPM's victory, i must say its quite impressive. He did well to hold back Schumacher, and well to recover from the dip in performance his car suffered intitially. This victory as long past its due to JPM considering the car he has and thankfully, his engine held on throughout. Rubens...excellent race by him. He could have so easily won the race too, considering he lost approx 8 s in the pits due to a faulty fuel pump (AGAIN). Alas, a chance to overtake DC in the championship is lost, but hey, if he drives as well in the other races like he did here, then Ferrari would be right to secure Rubinho in the Ferrari for next year, and that Ferrari would have the strongest driver pairing in F1!! Michael...disappointing race for him. Showed signs of competitiveness, but never really in for a fight at victory. One of his poorer performances this year no doubt. Was beaten by team mate today. But not more than Ralf. Ralf was totally off overall pace to his teammate and beaten far and fair. His speed was evident with the quickest laps, but it seem unable to be kept consistent. Good safe drive to the podium, but he was beaten too. And Mclaren...what on earth are they doing?!! Kimi must be holding his breathe now... A driver i would like to heap praises on is Enrique Bernoldi. DID YOU SEE him hold the train of cars behind him for so many laps. He really could manage the pressure, and considering Monaco and Monza, he was really good. Excellent driving to hold Oliver behind without overdriving. Extremely impressed! And what about racing today...it was excellent. Plenty of overtaking moves, alot of action... who says races in F1 is boring after witnessing Spa and Monza, coupled with other notable great races like Malaysia and some others? Roll on USA and JAPAN!!! |

A terriffic race, and he's finally got THAT duck off his back.
The first of many wins for JPM, not a bad firtst season, races led, three Poles and that precious first win. Poor Barrichello is probably despondent for having that first pit stop go so wrong. How dramatic it would have been for him to win in Italy. Italy: Grand Prix BL : R.SCHUMACHER 1'25.073 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- P. Not JPM's most impressive race, but a well-deserved win. Rubens also looked good, and might have won were it not for his fuel hose problem. The new drivers acquitted themselves well. Good race.
P.S. The Benetton team's launch control is so good it's dangerous -- as Button and Trulli discovered. |

Congrats to JPM on his first win, it should have come along ago.
Better luck next time Rubens, he should have one today... It was a great race, but sadly I can't really be excited about it at all, and can understand why Michael wouldn't want to race. I wouldn't either. |

Formula Juan won and was not down the car. He in fact won the race by keeping Schumacher behind. His ability drove around a car that was not the best today. Lucky play a role also since Ferrari managed to screw up Barrichello’s race.

A well deserved victory in the race of the season.
And an amazing birthday present for his dad - they've been working for this since Montoya was a little kid and endured a lot on the way to get there. It should be a great inspiration to many other children today ... with no cheque book to smooth the way and coming from a country which until very recently had neglible motorsport installations, culture and coverage, today he stood on the highest part of the podium...for the only the first time - he´ll be up their regularly from now on, be sure. The debate as to his real standing as a racing driver will no doubt rage on - he´s undoubtedly one of these exciting drivers who polarizes opion - but I for one admire his mental tenacity . He´s learnt quickly and camly from his mistakes under a tremendous amount of media-hype driven pressure, after all. Importantly, he makes for good viewing to - gets people on the edge of their seats...and, in the case of Brazil this year can make them leap up from them to. Long may he continue doing that! |

Well done Juan. A long overdue win and undoubtedly the first of many. Drove consistenly all race, managed to withstand the pressure from TGF throughout the first stint, and for a while afterwards, and then took hold when RB pitted again and comfortably took it. Again, many congratulations.
On RB, very unlucky not to win for the tifosi but if he races like that again this season, he'll win for sure. But second was good enough reward for a fine drive. As for Brothers Schumacher, Ralf drove well but was a BIG sook on the podium. Was he sad because he now knows JPM can whip his butt too?!?!?!? TGF didn't have his mind completely on the job, and considering he didn't really want to race in the first place, I'm not surprised he finished where he did. Great drive from PDLR in the Jaguar, who kept the car in the top 8 at least for most of the race. Ar$eclown (from Roy and HG) of the race goes to Jenson Button undoubtedly, once again proving that hype doesn't mean a thing. Poor, poor, poor, poor, poor Jarno Trulli. |

Ralf looked to me as if he had just sucked on a very sour lemon. He is another one of those who folds under pressure. I think TGF was distracted and he was basically driving a conservative race. No doubt Bernie was looking for some reason to kick him, so he did well to keep his head down.
And if this doesn't see the end of those "new and improved" fuel rigs then I am a Dutchman. WELL DONE JPM! P.S. I agree about Bunsen. He is very clearly not F1 material and should be sent back to FRenault to learn how to drive. But how will he pay for his yacht now? |

Very well done to Juan Pablo for winning a race I could never really be all that excited about today.
Ralf looking a little down could possibly have something to do with his former team-mate Zanardi's horrible crash yesterday? |

So, now that JPM won, and there were others who blow their engines, some mouths will be shut.
Great race for both JPM and Rubinho. I am imaging JPM telling his father, trophey in hands, Happy Birthday, Dad... Watch out, McLaren... you will be 5 and 6 in 2002. |

One word for Formula Juan... Awesome !!!
PS: Ok, let's face it..., RB could overpass and take some advantage because Williams' car had a problem..., So, we can add that issue to the equation. |
