Whats the question?

Murph is set on winning a championship, thats the reason for the switch. PWR have more funds to try more than K-Mart.
No doubt he can drive, but it will take a little while for him to gel with the team , new engineer etc.
A slow start may result for next year, but watch out in 2006.

I dont think the transition to the mandated Aurora powerplant will be as easily achieved as one may think.

That it has taken what 4 brand new Aurora-powered VYs for HRT to get closer to the mark suggests there will be some way to go for the 2ndhand rose Kmart & PWR operations to convert their current vehicles from VX engine to Aurora and expect to be as competitive immediately.

We shall see...

If PWR gets supercheap that has been suggested in other threads then Murph will be great. He has a huge profile on both sides of the ditch which will help the supercheap marketing on the NZ sides.

How much of an asset he is, is directly linked to how much of his whinging you can take.

I cant take much of his whinging, so i dont think he is much of an asset to any team.
If Supercheap go to PWR as rumoured i certainly wont be shopping there just because Murphs face is plastered all over their ads.

I'll take Lowndes and Autobarn any day.

As a kiwi myself I have always admired Murph and the other kiwi drivers like the Rat,for what they have achieved and the bloke can drive. He has proven that over and over again but his outbursts like at Indy whether deserved or not are becoming more frequent and really giving me the s..ts! He should just shut up and race and let the officials sort it out in there own bungling way. I guess I just stated the motivation for his stupid outbursts, they can't sort anything out can they. Still needs a gag.

To quote Paul Weels mother..

"Murph will bring a new dimension to the team"

"We definitely have the smallest budget of the 3 HMS teams"

"Our open day is mid Febuary at Freds old place at Dandenong"

I think it is a win-win, Murph wanted a change, and if any race team was to lose Jason Bright, then there would almost be nobody better to have scribble their name on the replacement contract than G Murphy!.

I think they'll go well...
