Setting fire to a caravan? Racing people carriers? More jolly japes, pranks and stunts.......think I could give it a miss if it weren't for the fantastic driving skills from Clarkson. He is the Stig

Yes it'll be scripted and predictable in places, I'm sure, but I'm still looking forward to the new series starting

Just watching some old eps on Dave to whet the appetite. Including one with Jenson Button in 2005...he said he would trade Monte Carlo et al for his first Grand Prix win.
Even more interesting, his lap in the reasonably priced car seemed to be completed in a metamorphic Liana...started with an 03 number plate, swapped over to a 52, and then back again. Twice. |

I wonder if Ross Brawn was watching that. He could show it in his office while they are discussing Button's latest wage demands.

"Why are you calling Vernon Kay?"
A question television executives should ALWAYS ask themselves. |

That was good! The scripted predictable bits were better than the ones at the start of last season, even if they did go a bit far with the Sandero!

Sandero bit had to be done... Tank would have been better though (i mean James May even got that done in his Toy Story about airfix!)
How many people going to go to Romania now to kill themselves on that road!? |

Who would have thought that there was a better driving road than the Stelvio Pass? And as for the combination of the V8, V10 and V12 engines underground - pure symphony!

Is it me or were the older (i'm talking even from season 11 or so backwards) ones alot less scripted? Some of it genuinely felt like 3 lads having some banter.
Any time I get lured in to something on these new ones, I feel a little screwed out by their pre-planned comedy moments. They're incredibly hit and miss. Silly example: Would have been nice to know if the G-Whizz could have made it up the hill comfortably! Selby |
