bobdrummond should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
With Chris Pook ruling himself out of the CART job because he disagreed with the intended direction, It strikes me more than ever that he is the guy CART needs. I may be way off, but the other candidate seems to be a bit of a careerist to me. You know, spend 2 or 3 years in the job, enjoy healthy salary and share options and then jump ship when the timing is good.
Pook, on the other hand, is a racer. It's plainly evident to anyone who is a fan of CC racing that CART needs a good kick up the arse if it's not to be done in by that dull steamroller, Nascar. His track record is indisputable and, remember, he told Bernie what to do when a screwing attempt was made at Long Beach. The result of that is known to us all (superb LBGP & no comparable US GP for many years)
Come on Roger, Chip, Carl & Pat. Swallow your pride. There is nothing left to lose.
