Joel Doran's 206 is the car Chris Bellamy now owns i think.....it's the ex Brian Cooke car. Chris is currently in the process of turbocharging it.

winnie has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I've heard its got a turbo-charged peugeot engine putting out about 500bhp and a rear mounted transaxle. All sounds very expensive and complicated. Steve Mundy tried something similar with a 5 litre TR8 and it didn't seem to handle or go very well. I think he will regret getting rid of the Nova, but its nice to see different car, especially rear wheel drive.

Dave Bellerby's new 206

As far as i know it was built by Harry Hockley has trans axle in the rear Peugeot MI 16 engine turbo charged engine in the front with about 350 bhp at the minute but could easly be 650 as modified cars don,t have to run restistors and it dry conditions could beat the div 1 cars when the car is sorted

I was talking to Dave at Mondello and he said that he's aiming for around 300 bhp .
I was on post 1 at croft last weekend and, being rwd, he was lightening quick off the start but as soon he got on the loose the car was fishtailing all over the plaice (FISHtailing! ).
But as he said this year would be a testing period as the croft RSS was only the second time he'd driven it.

It was the same when Dave Alwood had his RWD MK4 Escort as that used to fishtail all over.
Maybe Traction Control is needed

I was thinking about wider rear tyres as Sellar's Clio seemed to be quick on the loose, but then again I dont really know if Sellar uses traction control.

Or it could of been to do with the turbo and when that kicks in on the loose it probably made the car fishtail, maybe antilag is another thing that could be fitted

Yeah Chris owns the ex-Cooke car. He has now finished turboing it, and it was on the rollers last week. Unfortunatly the rollers they were using only went upto 200bhp, and the car had heaps more revs left when it hit that!!

The car is now back at the workshop, will be sprayed soon, and be out at Blyton!?! I think, later this month. And then at Blyton for the next round of the Superseries.

He also has a mean new bodykit on the car!!
