he has been around for a while. and british f3 wasnt exactly as good looking as it was last year (in my opinion) but he was a winner in a difficult field last year and this year he won. you can only race against the people you are put up against and he did that with the same dominance tha lewis hamilton managed.

I don't think anyone would deny that there hasn't been the same strength in depth in BF3 this year, but if you look at the points table here you'll see that Alvaro's consistency has been remarkable. He has driven not just with speed but also with intelligence. Thruxton is the only circuit where he didn't finish on the podium, but he missed the test there as it was held before he re-joined the Series.
