rcarr has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Colin, if we get more people interested in my hypothetical register we could start our own championship!
You could always run your car up at Knockhill with us?
Don't worry there will always be a sport/saloons race going on somewhere!

I thought the threat of McLaren closing Lydden passed years ago? Or is there new news?

Well in motor sport news a few weeks ago there was a write up that mclaren may use the track for training the police and ambulance staff and the way i read it there would be no racing of any sort there .

I have spoken to rod and he said that my imp does not fall into the regs as there is no rear engine cars allowed in the track and saloon you can run rear wheel drive plus my car has a fiberglass roof so that is another nail in its coffin

these stories appear every few years. I wouldn't get too concerned, there's normally something behind it but not the closing of the circuit for racing.

if your just looking for the odd race then Barc se's newly born tin tops series may be the thing for you.

umfortunatly its not eligable for DTRC as its rear engined, DTRC only allows front engined cars, we have nothing against imps, the reason for the regulation is to stop us being swampped with porkers

Rear engined cars under 1400cc's allowed if using original engine???

That would allow Imp's Simpla's and SkoooooDa's in and keep it all kosher.

Porsche are sports cars and would not get in anyway? Seams hard on propper saloons like Imps and VW's etc. There is allways the invitation class maybe, if cars are in the sprit of the series then whats the problem?

They must have a series of their own, there always seems to be some at the Lydden SEMSEC meets (going by the MN results I remember).
