Roger this is BT35X-2 now,

BT36 engine cover and BT30/36 fuel tanks. It was for sale 18 months perhaps 2 years ago.

If you scroll about half way down this page there is another photo. http://kcre.sakura.ne.jp/20063.html

Echappement Jul 1973 p145 identifies the Brabham of Robert Lucet as "la Brabham F2 ex-Lafosse écurie Antar 1971" running in the 1300cc class.

BT35-3 and BT35-5
There is a feature on the Antar team cars of Jean-Louis Lafosse and Pierre-Francois Rousselot in Echappement pp74-76. The cars are in almost identical red livery so the drivers may well have swapped between them during the season.

And more. Echapement Jan 1972 p91 reviews Jannick Auxeméry's season in Formula Renault and notes, under the heading of future projects, that the ex-Rousselot Brabham F3 has now arrived wth Roland Trollé, who ran Auxeméry in 1971.

So, out of BT35-3 and BT35-5, the ex-Rousselot car goes to Trollé/Auxeméry in 1972 and the ex-Lafosse car goes to Robert Lucet in 1973. I don't know where the ex-Lafosse car was in 1972.

BT35-3 Lafosse; BT35-5 Lagier [Ecurie Opal] A/S gives these chassis numbers [possibly the other way round...] at the start of the year
Rousselot's Antar car not delivered until late April, debuts at Magny cours 2 May 71, so must be higher number

Andrew Fraser, not Frazer. More gen here. Can Steve fill us in on Fraser? I have just one Sprint result for him, in 1977.

EDIT: Just noticed that I have Turnbull in this car in 1975 and 1976, then Fraser in 1977. Are the dates above wrong or did Turnbull have a second BT35 for 1975 and 1976?

The above dates are wrong.

Rob Turnbull (not Turnball) ran the car through to the end of 1976. Then it was bought by Andrew Fraser in the South West. Fraser tended to concentrate on 'local' events.

Any idea how long Fraser ran it? Could he have kept it as late as 1984, as the HSCC papers say, and then sold it to David McLaughlin?

This is this car of course:

Although I don't appear to have posted this, I did phone David and ask him about the BT35 but he couldn't remember who he bought it from.

HSCC papers, on which the HVIF would probably have been based, tended to fill in any gaps by extending the ownership of known owners until they met. I wouldn't rely on these papers to show a continuous chain of owners.

Andy Fraser of Newton Abbott is selling a BT35-t/c AS 30.10.80 p. 68.
Of course, we don't know if he sold it then, but there might be a three-four year gap if he did

The third party did have Andy Fraser telephone number but has jettisoned it during a house move! He seems to remember he lived somewhere in the Somerset levels!

Hart BDA

On my BDA head is a raised logo which consists of the letters AM formed into an oval. Is this an old Arch Motor logo? I believe I have a Hart BDA based on certain parts, although I know this can be unreliable. I was really wondering if Hart used AM to cast his heads?

Hope I'm not a bother....

Kent,

I am ready to be shot down in flames , however I think the AM stands for '' Aeroplane and Motor '' the casting company of the bare cylinder heads.

If it was BT35-17 , I have absolutely nothing against that no.

Any one have any clues.???

Bryan.
I'm new to this forum, but I have owned a few race cars. I know how nice it is to fill in the blanks. I used to own Brabham BT35C-17.

George

Brilliant stuff Steve, I've been trying for ages to work out potential chassis that Bob Sellix has (BT30-21).
