rx3racer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
why not Wayne W

When are these V8 Supercar teams going to realise what a great talent they are missing out on not signing WW for next year?

About the third race after he comes up with enough money to get himself a really good drive...

Absolutely.... I suppose if worst comes to worst, he might still be a big chance of kicking some arse in the Konicas, Lakeside or no Lakeside....

G'day RX3 and welcome to the forum. Please tell us a bit about your Rotor.

I agree absolutley with you three guys, Wayne has proven himself time and time again, but can't get a good seat because he hasn't got the money to buy one. Erm, hello! Isn't it the team owner/manager's job to raise the budget. Surely, the driver's job is to pedal the damn car.

How sick is everybody of seeing perfectly good cars going to waste because some little rich boy's Daddy bought them a ride?

Wayne has proven that he can drive anything he gets into to the absolute limit. Time and time again the car or the other driver has been the one that has robbed him of a good finish. Put this guy in a team with a good budget and look out level one teams, this guy has got some immense talent.

Don't worry about Moff, rx3racer... next thing you know he'll be denying he ever heard of peripheral ports.

How often do you wear your Channel 7 jacket, Moff?

...and what about that oxygen mask?

Nothing wrong with channel 7 jackets Mike...

Bit too oblique with the oxygen mask referrence Ray, you'll have to draw me a picture I'm afraid.

I think it was because the Mustang was so fast he couldn't get enough air in his lungs so he had an oxygen mask with some ducting............gave it up as soon as a bee went up the pipe
Any wonder some of us think he is a goose!

Draw you a picture, Moff?

No need... there was one published in Racing Car News... was it 1972 or 1973?

well I am very dissapointed at the poll results so far. Maybe some of the voters are from overseas. Come on aussies lets get behind our own drivers.

We should get behind Australian drivers, yes, however you can't ban overseas drivers. Different nationalities of drivers adds something different and excititng to what can be a little tedious category at times. It would be wrong and very sad if people were not given drives because of the nationality.

But we have some fine talent who would kill for a drive locally, why would a team owner pay top $$ for an F1 reject??

For the publicity... and to help in AVESCO's push into foreign markets...

As silly as that idea is.

Also, this may shock some, there are overseas drivers better at Touring Cars than Australian's, although i don't think that Pedro Lamy is in that category.

Overseas drivers in Australia has been happening for decades, and why does one or two international drivers suddenly mean that Aussies are losing seats, considering the Lamy seat didn't exist this year.

The thing that has me, is that an undeniable talent like Wakefield didn't even get a test for Briggs... Knowing WW, he would take the drive for free sausage sizzle on race weekends, yet Briggs will go and pay top $$ for someone else.

For sure there are great drivers overseas- but generally speaking they all have top drives where they come from.

Can we talk about Matt Neal? We've seemed to have seen the last of him now

Wakefield does deserve a go, definatly, so does Ritter. Maybe Betta wanted an overseas driver or someone who would generate more interest.

Starting from pole and winning races should generate some interest. Look what Bright and Ambrose have done for the profile of Pirtek.

I was meaning at the launch. Apart from the motorsport media and fans, will the general media really bother about reporting alot about some Australian drivers getting a drive, maybe a bit with Wakefield in Queensland, but already talk of Lamy and Wilson has got people talking, and the general media will probably take more notice. I didn't see much apart from AA about Longhurst going to Briggs.
