As an occasional viewer the BRC look's far more impressive all round.

The Open series only had a couple of Supercars and looked very, very low key. I can't quite understand why the organisors don't concentrate their efforts on some sort of double header Rallycross Superprix at the end of the season. |

Perhaps it is because The Open Championship is becoming more succesful year on year, unlike the BRDA events it improves year on year.Just look at entries, last lydden BRDA 55, tomorrows Blyton that nobody wants to compete at according to some 66 entries.
I do believe that ANY rallycross on TV can only be good for the sport as a whole. |

So i presume from the TV coverage there were no junior minis at the last open championship event, or was this a cock up by the production company.

Just seen the rained off Lydden event on TV, some great commentary from Leo Nulty at Lydden.

Some great car control from Grant Rees, and Bill Harbours roll will find it's way onto many Crash programmes & DVD's. it reminded me very much of Joss Sterken's Mondeo roll at Brands, but even more spectacular. There seemed to bit quite a bit of contact in the Juniors and the Stockhatch's. It didn't look too deliberate, just a lot of door-handling and nudging. I enjoyed seeing the different models in the Junior class. I think, if the organisers can keep on top of equalizing performance, it's the way to go. |

I watched it last night. Grant Rees drove excellently, pity he couldn't have been on the top step. Looked like a good meet.
