Useless Stoner Statistics

Casey Stoner has now had 25 starts in the MotoGP class. I was wondering how the start to his premier class career compared to some of the greats of the sport over the years. This is just for fun, I am not claiming anything at all with these stats, but they make for some interesting comparisons between different riders and different eras.

Gerben24 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
**** Rossi, Stoner etc, HOW IMPRESSIVE IS THAT STAT OF HAILWOOD.

Shame I didn't witness that.

Just shows you that in 50 years there will be another Rossi and everybody will say, he truly is the best ever drool drool, etc.

Mike "The Bike" Hailwood was my childhood hero and in my opinion the greatest bike racer of all time. I know it is impossible to compare riders across different eras, but 9 World Championships, 76 Grand Prix victories and 14 IOM TT victories would take some beating. (And he is English Chunder )

I had the pleasure of meeting the great man at Bathurst in 1980 when he came over to ride the mountain at the Easter TT meeting. Tragically he was killed in a car accident 12 months later along with his daughter.

He started in 1988 riding for the Kenny Roberts Lucky Strike Yamaha team. They were works bikes but from memory the Agostini Marlboro Yamaha team were the factory team and got the best bits first.

Now that we are here speaking privately through PM, I can say you that the people here are weird , nice but weird.

Anyway, I'm FH because of my personal relation with the main shareholder in this company. They offered me being FH in a forum, and I asked for a comfortable one with low traffic and few flame fights

Of course, don't comment anybody about this

This a good forum, but my first choice to be FH was A1GP but they had already more staff than users.

Rainey started in 250's actually a few yeras before, he went back to States and rode there for a bit, but yes you are right but I dont think in those days Kenny was averse to trying new stuff out on the bikes, Ago was with LAwson and maybe got more stuff through Carruthers, but Kanny was pretty good at using new tech like laptops and aero tweaks, dont think there was much between the teams really, Kenny you have to remember was the man that won in US and Europe for Yamaha, thats counts for a lot!
