Garry Rogers Motorsport - Holden's new premier V8 Supercar team
What a fantastic weekend for GRM!!!
Not only were both cars quick all weekend, they were by far and away the best performing Commodores by a mile. Hopefully they can keep it up for the rest of the year, with Lee battling it out for 2nd in the Championship ()and Robbo aiming for a Top-10 Championship finish. Where's all the Holden money now, Mr McNamara? |

So, why is the reason that the Cars at the V8 circus are from Garry Rogers Motorsport, and at the Grand Prix where they had all the problems, they were from Valvoline Cummins. Entrant name I am refering to.

There will some serious butt kicking going on at HRT and Tanders lack of performance must be questioned to. Bring back Mark I say
I wonder how long will GRM engines stay reliable? |

grm are doing a good job however the jury is still out if they can be competitive at some of the perminant circuits they have struggled at in the past. like barbagallo Qr phillip island sandown hidden valley etc. there record at winton and street circuits is generally good lets hope they can keep the pace up.

And congratulations must also go to GRM's third driver who doesnt get much press but still congrats to Lee Caruso, according to today's Herald Sun, he drove well to upstage the top guns and finish fourth. |

Makes a big difference if you have one of the best young drivers in the field in your car ... and, in typical GR fashion, young Caruso is showing promise too.
Despite Garry being Garry, I'd love to see them be Holden No 1 2009 |

I notice that they still have 'Holden' on the front windscreen.
Is that just for a spare parts deal with Holden? I thought they lost direct financial support from Holden. |

They have... but continue to use WP hardware... so presumably its a part of that deal since WP is effectively Holden Motorsport with new branding...

That seems a fair assumption.
It may become academic if General Motors goes into bankruptcy. I wonder what effect that would have on payments to teams that do currently have financial backing from Holden? |

I still can't believe the GRM cars are THAT bare in terms of sponsers on their cars. Maybe a new deal will be sorted out for Winton...

Not sure how cummins is doing in OZ, but I understand the NZ division has just shed 15 of their staff and closed 2 branches.
