skeeskirrt should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Speed just interviewed Montagny. Don't want to put words in his mouth, but seemed to elude that in his opinion the car had a problem early on but may not have needed to spend so much time to replace the entire left rear corner.

Interesting, but nonetheless they have come back from that 9+ minutes in the pits and are still running very strong in that #8.

Barring any rain, this might be Peugeot's year, finally.

Dudley has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
If Audi had a faint hope left, there it goes...

I think the costliest mistake of the #8 car was the crew taking 150 seconds just to change the nose bodywork. I know it was damaged and probably wedged in there, but when Audi can change a nose in 20 seconds...

According to an interview with Kristensen, they have serious overheating problems (turbo) and therefor they have a lot less power. This explains with top speed difference.

Is that why 2 Peugeots breezed around the #1 Audi during the first 1.5 laps of the race and ever since on the straights?

It's amazing that the R15 can come within a second or two of the Peugeots with so little testing. No doubt if Peugeot ran the 908 again next year the R15 would probably be 2-3 seconds quicker then it.

But the top speed difference between a coupe and a open top car is substantial, even considering the 908's body is in it's 3rd year

I believe Dr. Ullrich decided to go with the open top car thinking it would be faster in the pits with the driver changes, but with the new one tire change at a time rule that was all thrown out the window.

I think all the manufacturers, Toyota, Acura, anyone interested in coming to lemans in the next few years will see this race and will no doubt build a coupe
