Would love to see Highcroft running Brabham in the P1 with Pagenaud !!!
I reckon the auld fella himself deserves a bit of fun this year in the P2 car !!! |

Given today's press release, can we assume that Highcroft will race in LMP2 at Le Mans this year (with the car in something close to 2011 P1 spec), before going for the overall in 2011?

We can safely assume that they are exploring that as an option, and are taking the necessary steps to work towards it. We cannot assume that they have made a concrete decision on 2011. |

Also seems as if a second car might be in the works!

The return of Honda at Le Mans and other ex F1 runners will be good but lets hope they are factory backed teams rather than full works efforts, I do not want to see them throw thrier collective weight around for a year or two them leave just as abruptly
I think the Honda could give diesels are run for thier money with the regulations trying to reverse the advantages diesels have held over the last few years, but nothing closes that gap better than several teams all trying different ways, one might accually gain the advantage over the dreaded diesel's. |

I wonder if any of the 01c bodywork will be available for Euro teams at Le Mans or after? Depending on Patrón Highcroft's devel of it in the ALMS.
Also another thing that might/could factor into Patrón Highcroft being at Le Mans is whether, or not, Patrón can be on the car. Could it be legal to run if it was subtly changed to Hacienda del Patrón as a destinantion instead of Tequila Patrón Racing? L.P. |

That's why the intercontinental series/cup/trophy is needed.

Maybe this is why there has been talk of them running a P1 car and a P2 - P1 aimed more at success in the ACO spec races and Le Mans and the P2 for ALMS??

I'm guessing this c "new model" will just be a rehash of the a & b for the 2010 regs with the 02a wing already seen at Misano and tweaks that Wirth will find the time to develop when away from their F1 during the winter. The 01b was already an evolution of the first 01 developed on a budget with minimal body panel changes and even old panels cut-up and re-used. The effort is now more than ever a customer thing in Europe and Acura is not much behind the project anymore. Highcroft will receive what limited resources HPD still has to give to the project and will probably play around inside the team with improvements they can try on their old car.
