Jaguar XF 5.0 Litre V8 specification
hi guys,
I'm doing an assignment for university on engine design and I need to find out the details of the Jaguar listed above. the only details that I need to find out now are the:
If anyone has any idea of a website that would supply the open public with such information it would be great. Cheers |

Probably just a typo, but it's a 5.0 litre not a 5.9.
Not sure of the best route for that info. There are a couple on here who race Jags who may be able to point you in the direction of a Jag technical forum. Otherwise, might be easiest to contact Jaguar UK directly - I'm sure they'd be happy to help. |

I figured out a way to find the valve sizes, for the inlet and exhaust.
I had to find what the mean piston speed was then. Which to find that i had to find the RPS @ max then multiply that by the stroke length then multiply that by 2. That gave me 20.14 m/s Then I had to plug that information into a excel spreadsheet that gave me the inlet/exhaust diameters for the valve sizes. n.b. My lecturer helped me in making the excel spreadsheet to aid me in compiling all of the formulas needed into the spreadsheet. |
