Chevy Cruze engine vents?
I've just finished watching the Macau WTCC race and noticed the Chevy Cruze has a lot of venting in the hood of the car? I assume they're for engine cooling, but wonder if there aerodynamic advantages as well. I don't recall noticing the other cars having it? Have the other teams complained?

BMW have then on the 2010 facelift cars, but they are better integrated

Also SEAT have them on the turbo diesel cars.

They first appeared on the Seat Diesels. For extra ventilation for the diesel unit.
BMW added them to their cars as they were considering running their diesel version, but never did. Chevvies added theirs because everyone else had them! |

Personally,I'm not a big fan of them b/c they're starting to get more prototype or DTM-ish looking.

They look quite cool I guess. More pointless vents i say! Mabey them youths will watch motorsports if we put vents in the cars!
