Hi all

The QLD CAMS office was sure they would be up on the website before christmas. Doesnt appear to have happened though.

What are you looking for in the 2010 regs?

Hi crash

There had been some discussion by the QLD advisory panel about seperating the supersports and prod sports type cars and running the supersports with the race cars as is the case in NSW.
Also whether Cat 6 supersports type cars (sportracers) had been added as was also being discussed.

cheers

If you've got contact details for Brian Ferrabee, he might be the one to ask about what's happening with Qld Sporters and Prod-Sports. About a decade ago Sports 1300 and winged open wheelers used to run together, and it makes sense safety-wise. Watching Steve Morcombe and Grant Watson cut through a fleet of MX-5s can be a bit nerve-wracking at times.

I think they stopped running that way when winged-open wheelers basically died as a class and had to be combined with Formula Ford. The Sports 1300s were then moved to sportscars.

Just had a quick chat to Brian Ferrabee. Category 6 Supersports will be permitted to run in the Queensland Sports Car Championship this year, but its unlikely Supersports will be combined with Racing Cars because of Prod-Sports numbers and non-Formula Ford Racing Car numbers.

However should grid numbers change that may be re-assessed.
