RF_Racer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
make sure that the adjusters rest on the hans yoke, often over looked. not many single seater belts allow this as the top parts of the belts are fixed length.

Yikes - glad I don't race in the UK any longer - sounds more like a police state (or should I say lawyer state, not trying to offend the police or lawyers) than ever. We drill our own helmet holes in positions to suit our own body shape (neck length etc), reposition our belt anchorages to suit our body size/position, buy or modify seat belt lengths to suit same, etc, etc. It's not rocket science you know. Rant over!

According to this guide which HANS say is the fitment guide for using belts with HANS my own car falls foul on this belt angle issue.
http://www.schroth.com/installation-.../en/index.html

It reckons that I need to cross the shoulder belts and then wrap on to my cross bar of the cage. Now I can of course go onto the cross bar no problem but I don't ever recall seeing a car with the belts both wrapped onto the cross bar and crossed over with a spacer in between. The car was scrutineered several times last year and I don't think any scrut even looked at the belt mouting. Anyways for this year I will fix this bit myself exactly as Scroth say.

Another issue is the lap belt mounting, nothing to do with HANS per see but I wonder how many installations fit right within the Schroth guidelines ( mine are to far back according to Schroth but would be perfect for someone taller).

I was going to ask a similar question. I cannot achieve the 0 to 20 degree criteria on the belts so am I wasting my time and money on one of these if the belts are too steep an angle.

Oh well no point in buying then as I cannot achieve that.
