This must be one of the first speed events of the season to be fully booked - 145 entered, plus several reserves. Aintree may only use 3 corners of the old Grand Prix Circuit, but the competitors love the venue & the slick organisation by Liverpool Motor Club.
Let's hope the weather is kind. Last year the start crew dispatched 678 cars off the line during the day - what heroes! If you don't want to marshal, forget your post-royal wedding hangover & come and spectate at Aintree. Only a fiver to get in, free parking, free programme, unlimited paddock access, great value food. Does sprinting get any better than this? http://www.liverpoolmotorclub.com Last edited by j.harden; 23 Apr 2011 at 21:27. |
