Sportscars are being to look a like nowadays. The front reminds me of a 430, or something like that.
No matter it is a good looking car. Shame it didn't make it to Navarra. It won't be at Silverstone either for FIA GT3 so I guess we're expecting either an appearance in British GT or the Spa 24 hours? |

According to Andrew Kirkaldy, 'It would be ideal to race the car before Spa, but we are not sure exactly where. There's a British GT race at Spa 3 weeks before the 24 hours, and there's a strong possibility we'll do that' The Autosport article suggested drivers for the debut would be the team's development drivers, Alavaro Parente and Oliver Turvey, though CRS would need a dispensation from the British GT organisers to run an all-pro driver pairing. |

- Goodwood Festival with Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button - Spa 24 Test Day on July 6 - Spa British GT race on the weekend. They actually did pretty well at Spa. The were on Pole for the first race, with Chris Goodwin beating out David Ashburn in the Trackspeed Porsche. They led the race until lap 10 but lost time in the pits then had a spin with Kirkaldy in the car. They finished 12th in race one. In race 2 they started from 8th and went up to 5th until the pit stops and they lost a few spots. But Chris was really good with the car, and they gradually started pulling back and took 2 places on the last lap to finish 4th! |

4th isn't bad for a debut! Wonder what the pit issues were tho? Sounds like it would have pantsed the field had it not had those problems.

Not the best plan is it? Walk your first race!
Better to finish 'there, or thereabouts' so you have sandbag room... |

They probably didn't have any issues other than just faffing about during the pitstops.....smart thinking in a way.

From a brief chat with a CRS guy in an MP4-12C GT3 fleece (Which he wouldn't part with, dammit) way back at Spa in May, it's a 'lovely car' to work on, and seemed to be a 'lovely car' to drive...
Allow 2 more months to get it better, and I suspect it has plenty in reserve, this is just a race test session. It certainly suits McLaren Orange! |

Mclaren said, where possible, it was built to GTE specs, so there'll be a lot of crossover.

their website seems to state they hope to have 20 cars available for privateers next year.
The pit stop was an issue in race 1 was during a safety car period. A lot of cars in the pits, and a new car. They were probably taking their time not to mess up anything. Race 2 they lost 1/2 spots in the pits but Chris was fabulous during the 2nd half of the race. It seemed Kirkaldy was not very quick with the car, or as quick as Goodwin. |

Edit: Found it on youtube but not available for this country. Thought there might've been something on the McLaren website seeing as though its the car debut and all. |

Mclaren GT.com (http://mclarengt.com/newsandevents.php) is taking time to issue a report about last weeks shenanigans, except for this little article and video in the media centre about goodwood: http://media.mclarenautomotive.com/
Nice photos. |

Just the race it looked like, honestly tho I've got no idea as I found pictures of it on the British GT site a day or two after the race. I only heard about this so called embargo on Midweek Motorsports on radiolemans.com.

I've seen the pics on the BGT site too, thats all I've found on the weekend. McLaren must be waiting to make their own report on the debut.

Thanks Goodwin, makes sense now. Must've misheard a bit of what was being said on MWM.
