The Formula Saloons do post pictures on their site http:\\www.formulasaloons.com but I must say they aren't any of the last round at Pembrey as yet. I hope to get them all sorted and published over this weekend. |

There was a proffesional photographer present at Pembrey, can't remember his name.
He should be at Brands next week with all the photos of each car for the team or driver to purchase, maybe Derek we can ask each driver to donate one picture and then post them on our site, we would be prepared to offer a photo from our team as a start. |

Derek, unfortunatly due to the multitude of problems with the car at Pembrey we are still a week away from the car being rebuilt, so we are very p*!!*d to have to miss Brands, but roll on Oulton Park although we will come down on Sunday.
Do you know the entry list yet ?. Would be nice if I could get hold of a spare paddock pass if you could help, tickets would be a bonus, you know how tight we are !!!! Thanks |

I have looked at the entry list and I really want to see Steve Hurst do well In the Audi, I dont think Ric Wood can do it this season, and SO I feel one of the Woodcock brothers might take it, ALso who is the guy In the Latest Honda Accord??

Niss
should be able to assist for tickets give me a call on the mobile, sorry havent managed to get the full entry from Claire, only spoke to her today & forgot it but I anticipate something like 18-20 cars still. Demon interesting food for thought about an eventual championship winner so early into the season, but I think I would probably have to pass on a Nissan taking the honours this year...Honda would probably be my guess but then Steve could pull it off with the Audi but it would be one hellofa learning curve, and I wouldn't discount Ric yet! Sorry which latest Honda? |

I must be a bit thick tonight but the Honda's from Pembrey were: Andy Allen, Andy Clarkin, Graham Coomes, Simon Dickinson, hope that helps! |

Yes derrick I also forgot to include Andy Clarkin and Graham Coombes, these are two drivers from my earliest motorsport memory's, It's hard to call and at the end of the day it will come down to Experiance, and who has been racing the longest?? so I think it'll either be Micheal Woodcock, Andy Clarkin, Graham Coombes or Simon Dickinson?? What do you think??/

Have the classes A and D being reunited! If so this offers a much healthier class structure for Formula Saloons. The super Tourers are too close and evenly matched as the lap time suggests to have one dominant winner! A dominant car in the other classes could get the title, Ric Wood in the Holden Commodore possibly, if he does the majority of races.

Owing to a lack of support to Class D and the fact that some drivers did not have the opportunity to compete for the overall championship, (ie Ric Wood & Rod Birley), it was decided to merge Class D back to Class A as there is little difference between the lap times of either class and we had to take the decision in the interests of fairness to competitors. It's unfortunate that some of the beloved ThunderSaloons didn't or couldn't join in Class D, but the opening is still there. I for one would dearly like to see some of the 'Thunders' on the circuit again and give some of the Super Tourers a run for their money. Don't get me wrong, the Super Tourers are awesome cars to watch in action, as the times from Brands last weekend can testify (the first 11 cars covered by 1.6 secs in qualifying) and they weren't all Super Tourers in those 11 places. Ric did make the trip down to Brands with the Holden and put up a good showing but suffered perhaps more than some in getting the Holden's power down to the 'black stuff' in the atrocious weather conditions and had a good battle with a few cars! Rumour has it that Ric will be bringing out the V8 Calibra again soon so for the twisty circuits it could have quite an advantage over the Holden, but that will come into it's own on the power circuits. |
