I guess we'll never see the OAK-Morgan Nissan combo aside from the ALMS then. Sad.

I just now realized that the Bailey isn't on that entry list posted last week. Did things not work out or are they looking to run later on in the year?

Race by race, but this is the full season entry list. Have to say it's not the most appealing option. With a GTE car, I think you either go WEC or GT Open, and ELMS is a strange middle ground. Of course, you want to go long distance GT racing in Europe, BES is very sensible alternative and a GT3 car is a very sensible investment.

Even the only GTC full season entry, Race Art Team haven't find enough drivers so far, sounds like Grouwels is the only man confirmed.

If I take it right, ELMS official web means there're 10 full season GTs, 1 GTC(Race Art), 2GTE PRO(ProSpeed, Lotus) and 7 GTE AM(IMSA Matmut, AF Corse, ??Proton??, ??Aston??)

I also think so, likely they'll post a late entry. Also JMB shall enter al least 1 458 in GTE AM, otherwise they shouldn't get an LM24 entry. No idea if Proton(#63 more likely) and AF Corse will race ELMS as well as WEC. And IMSA Matmut with a PRO car like last year?Who knows
If every dream come true, expect 20 more cars in GT class each round, I'm sure there're teams with GTC cars would like to enter their local round with paying drivers, now it seems finishing a 6h run means get a ELMS GTC podium even a class win. |

Perhaps some teams will race in select ELMS races and then also enter the European WEC rounds. Is that a better solution than going for the ELMS title? I don't know. That's just speculation though. There's no real reason why teams can't do the European WEC races (at least non-Le Mans ones) and the full ELMS.
It does seem like perhaps the ELMS was in such a rush to get an entry list posted for public viewing that maybe they released an incomplete entry list. Well, we know that is the case with the LMPCs. |

They're certainly still on the official full-season entry list downloadable from the ELMS website...
http://www.lemans-series.com/ml/imag...entry_list.pdf James Walker is named as first driver on the ELMS list, and Tim Sugden for their Le Mans entry, so presumably we're looking at Walker/Sugden, plus a third? |

Anyway, the newly found DownForce1 team will also race a GT1 Saleen in Blancpain Revival. AMR use "surprise" to describe their Aston ELMS full season entry, so they aren't related to AMR's double LM24 GTE entries. http://www.amr-teams.co.uk/2012/02/f...ownforce1.html |

Thats not an official AMR site - see the disclaimer at the bottom of the page. How ever they are normally on the mark with Aston news. DSC didnt look to know about Downforce1 either so I'd guss it was pretty left wing.

The text on amr-teams.co.uk is more or less the text from the team - with spelling errors removed ;-)
Team will present details of its 2012 campaign on March 15. |

Surprised to see Pegasus Racing not entered in anything this year...could it have something to do with the news that Mariantic had reported in the tail end of last year that Mirco Schultis was looking to take the DressforLess sponsorship elsewhere?
On the face of it one less identical Oreca 03-Nissan seems welcome but this team did earn an auto-invite to Le Mans after all... |

I'm not sure, but it is a bit of a surprise not to see them anywhere. I guess they could be one of the LMPCs. I think Pegasus hoped to run their LC75 in P2 last year too, but the money never arrived for that to happen. Perhaps the money never arrived for an Oreca 03 this year. |

It's quite hard to believe that nobody with a Cup or Challenge car in Europe is willing to run a full season of ELMS. Are things really that bad?

No GTC full season entries...I just think teams without the money running a GTE car can try this, if it's a full season one, years after when they can afford a GTE program, they can get an LM24 entry easier.
