Read then speak!
Guys, read the media release - the Camry used in NZ V8s will use a Toyota engine. The engines used in V8ST are all Chev boat anchors. So why would Toyota even have a remote momentary interest in these unreliable ****ters? Every time a Camry bodied SuperTourer blew up people would think it was a Toyota engine.
No sign of Toyota joining V8SC yet, but it would again have to be using a Toyota engine. Chevs don't have enough cams or valves to do the job. And BMW? Really? Mark Gilbert doesn't have the balls to step up. Plus where would they find the right engine to do so - the 5 Series V8? Any motorsport dev been done on that engine? |

I thought they were not allowed the new radiators until after the next round, meaning they get them for the enduro's but not HD this month? |

I would be questioning the oil they are using and the lack of prep concerning the one team that pulled out of manfeild. |

so, Mr great knowledgeable one......... why is it assumed that the
Toyota will be so far ahead of the Ford and Holden entry??? stuck record i kinow, but no-one has come up to the plate to provide any logical reason why they will be, even though i have asked the question several times. until the NZST faction/lovers/fanboys can come up with some facts, shove your parity issues were they fit until proven otherwise..........OK |

That last post's gotta go, Joe, sorry mate.
However, I'd really like to see overlays of the power and torque curves for all three engines before and after mapping, would be a good exercise to see how effective it is, eh? |

my arguement to themis simple: put up or shut up. coming from a very long time Toyota supportor if black pearl and co want to keep up an unsubstantiated slanging match, then bully for them. but without factual back-up, they can keep their narrow-minded opinions to themselves, no??? |

i havn't seen a comparative plot for all 3 engines, but (could be quite incorrect here) i believe the car the Toyota V8 was installed in, is quite a bit lighter than an NZV8, and that needs to be taken into effect, maybe? |
