Autograph session on the Tues in the pits which it looks like I will just miss (by a couple of hours) for the second year running
As first-timers last year we were desperate to get out and do something on the Wednesday morning. There's not a great deal going on. |

Check out the circuit/village/paddock when it is still a work-in-progress and without the crowds.
Start your evening BBQ early so your are finished in time for the evening track action. My own plan for either Weds or Thurs is to get up early doors and attempt to walk a full lap of the circuit. Last year I got from Houx, down the Mulsanne, as we got to Mulsanne corner they stopped the traffic but didn't stop cyclists or pedestrians. We walked across to Arnage turn before The Law asked us to kindly leave the track. That was Thursday lunchtime, so I should make it around if I start earlier. |

We also went down the rows of hospitality just after the Ford chicane as they were being set up. Nearly got flattened by fork-lifts a few times but was interesting all the same. Will probably just chill out this year. |

as long as you have a car visit la chateau sur la loire a small village and have a drink in the hotel de france, a real mecca for le mans fans, it is where the old guys would stay and is full of sign photos and stuff, after that walk up the mount to the joan of arc memorial,
There is also la fleche with its beatiful river and a lovely zoo |

And ofcourse don't forget to, when there's no track action, wander around the many campsites and marvel at the mindblowing amount of fantastic cars and most often very passionate and sympathetic owners beside them...

Link to Google StreetView of the place in question
It's a good place to go on the Friday as there's always a good selection of nice motors parked in the square. |
