Race Licence

The subject of licences came up in discussion with a friend the other day
as we are both thinking of changing from speed/rally based events to race

The question for all you knowledgeable people out there is what needs to be done to achieve this? as we have both held race licences in the past do we need to take an ards test?

I think your best bet would be to read the blue book or ring the msa, i know someone who finished up taking the ARDS test twice by asking advice on a forum, the msa have a procedure to obtain a licence by taking a writing test and not the driving{expensive} part, that is if you held or were entitled to hold a certain licence grade.

Phone the MSA, they'll know more than any of us but if you still have your original licence then you can just upgrade again.

i agree with tim, phone the msa, they can look up your licence number and tell you if you can have a race licence without doing an ards,

my mate did it the otherway round, he has had a race licence for years, contacted the msa about getting a rally licence and they just told him he could have one straight off because of the length of time he has held a licence
