Seem to remember "Arthur D" saying the Capri was damaged, but cannot remember when or where, but wasnt Lydden

Anyway quick search of my photos and the Capri was around in 1985

and the Sierra in 1992

So best I can narrow it down without further digging, is between 85 and 92.

Sorry thats probably not too helpful

That sounds about right- I saw my first rallycross meeting 'live' rather than on TV in 1989, and I'm sure he was in the Sierra by then- I'm pretty certain I never saw the Capri

I think it was either 87 or 88, he was still using the Capris in 86 I think.

Yep your right fella! Just recently been loaned some footage of the Capri in 86, just trying to narrow it down. The GP's used to be a great place to debut new cars I wonder if Tony used the Sierra at the 87 Gp in preparation for the next season.

For those who may want to know
The earliest in my records I have found that Tony Proctor was entered in the Shell Oils Croft Rallycross series 27 feb 1988, looks like the Capri retired at the end of 86, 87 Tony was building/developing the Sierra some issues with eligibility for formula B was resolved the Capri engine installed in the Sierra and 88 was the debut

I was with him and Mark at Silverstone last September, Tony was looking very well and tanned.
You could always phone/email him to ask?
