You might be right, but im pretty sure the N24 is not normally run Sun-Mon even if the monday is a holiday.
The guys at Radio Le Mans definitely said it was something to do with the DTM scheduling. So they can get the drivers from England to Germany (e.g. Tomcyck, Farfus, Rockenfeller). Possibly they just mean the start time is late because of this. It is 5p.m local time compared to the usual start at 2p.m. I would like to hope they know what they are talking about as they are at the circuit and should be well informed. |

That the unusual schedule this allows the DTM drivers to do the race is merely a positive side effect. It's just three guys and the 24h race doesn't really focus that much on drivers either..it's not like 20% of the fans wouldn't be there if it wasn't for the DTM drivers. Nobody would push back the race for this, it's just a coincidence. |

Fingers crossed for a strong result from the Aston but my heart is with Schubert, hope they last the distance and stand atop the podium at the end. Shame about Jorg Muller not taking apart because of his injuries from Spa (thanks Hendrik for the info) but Hurtgen should have no problems at all covering for him in the other car as well. |

I'm hoping for the best for the #69 McLaren but there's just too many Audi's, Merc's and BMW's out there...

It says almost 10 hours on the official site, but that is wrong.
So 4pm in the UK / 5pm in Germany I know Le Mans is 6 hours ahead of US EST, so the race either starts at 10am or 11am EST So is Le Mans in the same time zone as the UK or Germany? |

The #35 Timbuli Porsche 997 GT3 R won't be taking part in the race according to DSC, due to the damage sustained at the very end of the second qualifying session.

Well the vehicle frame is damaged, so they have to take it on a car bench, but this would require too much time they do not have. Furthermore they said that they have to change some more parts, but in the end they decided only to race the other car. Not enough time.. And racing with a damaged frame is too dangerous, they do not want a driver to get hurt.
