If GTA didn't turn their spec in cheaper DTM one, because of costs, super gt would not have a future.

The cars look worse than the current cars, but they're not as bad as it could have been. For one, the fronts are a lot more expressive with the Lexus and GTR than the boring DTM faces, which are near indistinguishable from a distance.
The DRS and swan rear wings need to go though. |

I think the move to BECOME equal to dtm could lead to a hemorrhage of fans, who turn away from the super gt (become a clone of the DTM). This would economic consequences even more disastrous for the GTA.

First time I saw the new Lexus I thought it was the M3 DTM machine. They look quite similar to me at a glance. I don't care for that NSX much, aesthetically a downgrade from the HSV. Glad that Nissan stuck with the GTR, still looks fabulous.

To bad nissan doesnt look bit more agressive, than it would be better, it looks good from the side but not so much from front or rear. Lexus hit that really good. |

Then, the Japan began an expansionary monetary policy, are flooding the market with their currency, because this need to "cut costs" if the formula was successful?
Not in front of their seemed to an abyss, gaining more and more fans WORLDWIDE. Now, running behind the Germans, are likely to erode the trust and respect that they had earned over the years, trust given to this series because independent, dynamic, rich in content (technical and human). Although cars are less bad than expected, do not find me okay with their "technical revolution". |

That GT-R looks much better than the current GT500. The proportions look like the road car.

DTM doesn't have the turbo engines, and they run the spec tires, those are two pluses with SuperGT. I think the downforce will be in the same area as before. Not as wide (-50mm), but current GT500 has no front diveplanes, the DTM have 2 each side. Im not sure on the numbers but I think the speed will be there!

The new chassis fits well the GTR, looks good. The new Lexus is nice too, better than the current one (not hard to accomplish TBH).
But I think those Honda designers watch too much mecha anime, the front looks like a robot's face Maybe tweaking a bit the big black grill it can be better. |

Just a fun trivia, guys... Did you all notice that out of the 3 2014 Super GT cars that was introduced, 2 of them are still in concept theme, only the GT-R is in production form...

While I like the look of the 2014 GT-R, I don't think the Americans won't get hooked on the DTM-style. It would look worse if this style is adapted to US pony cars.

So given the NSX is there, mid engined cars are eligible in DTM now? An Audi R8 DTM would be a thing to behold.

the Lexus looks better, but i put that more down to the LF-CC looking much much better than the SC430, not the new aero...the LF-CC with 2013 style aero would have been amazing ...maybe if the racing becomes dreary and dull like DTM currently is, theyll ditch the aero rules for 2015? |

Lexus and Honda designs are much closer to the German Design school, thus the DTM bodykit suits them really well. GTR is still what I call a JDM machine. It still carries the japanese automotive design philosophy, so the DTM bodykit looks forced and out of place. Just look how bad the rear wheel arch design-extension looks. So I'm really concerned about the future of Japanese automotive industry regarding this issue. Hopefully it will not become the norm in the future. |

Lexus uses an european design, LFA excluded. Honda doesn't produce luxury or high performaces cars at all, like the HSV-010, the NSX has not a road counterpart yet, anyway the mecha-face of the new NSX GT500 is pure japanese spirit.
