ctcrc snetterton video 31.8.2013
second race in car footage from the evo.
Great weekend and circuit, the 200 layout suits the power of the car,bit of a shame the scoobies and biggers didnt turn up. I would like to do the croft meet this month as it is my local circuit, but not sure its fair or on an even playing feild on the other classes anybody got any thoughts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufOQ3...wJV5AKF0M1DH-A Cheers Pete |

No pete i would say the opposite! You have to be out there to win it, and its up to everyone else to beat you! Joss ronchetti dominated the championship for a few years in his lotus sunbeam, before some even quicker cars came along and thats the way it goes! The thunder championship goes through periods of change at times, but there will always be people preparing to get out there and give you a run for your money!
So I'd say carry on, as its a great spectacle. Can't wait for croft! |

Pete I recon you could start from the pit lane & easily win the race @ croft unless any of the big guns turns up.
If Mark does turn up I bet you could still beat him on your home track in the first race, due to him never raced there, but don't let him follow you to long, hes a quick learner, I know ! |

fiesta used to be the fastest in class D many moons ago, but sinces its reapperance this year ive been lucky to be top 3 in class, car is no slower, just a few class d cars are really quick now and a 1.38 just isnt quick enough |

His M3 must be a lot quicker than his 540 he raced @ mallory which struggled to get past my bargain basement fiesta, we had a really close clean race, have a look as I ring the fiesta neck to try & keep up with the big boys, flat out even before the lights go out !
Proper fun day out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TJDQBxtT-g |

Tells you how fast the 1600's are now if you, in your M3 is only slightly faster than them & your car goes really well. I recon your car will be 1.5-2 sec per lap quicker on slicks, that's what my 306 used to be, 1.33 vs 1.35 |

Hi Al One of the main reasons I have not been out much this year is because there has not been much competition. There would have been nothing more that I would have liked than to have been out racing in my car in the Classic Thunder, but what was said to me put me off a bit, as people were saying they were not racing because my car was out there!!!!! Now, I have been told that the Classic Thunder may be banning four wheel drive cars for next year and only allowing two wheel drive? So where does that leave us? I am more than happy to race with anyone but I am sick of all the rule changes which create so much uncertainty apart from all the cost of trying to keep up. Regards Mark |

I think Mark you are a victim of your own success , in club racing at the moment how many cars are out there that can compete against you ? I watched the classic thunder/boss race at snetterton on Saturday and Petes evo was just playing with the rest of the field , yet looking at the way you shot past him at Mallory you were doing the playing . I think you are right in saying that your car is what classic thunder is all about and I think that last year there were some good cars out there , but this year nobody wants to play even when your not there so I don't think any one should blame you .
