2013 Race of Champions
So, here's the 2013 Race of Champions grid so far:
Germany: Michael Schumacher, TBC. France: Sébastien Ogier, TBC. Scandinavia: Mattias Ekström, Tom Kristensen. Great Britain: David Coulthard, Susie Wolff. Australia: Jamie Whincup, Mick Doohan. India: Karun Chandok, Narain Karthikeyan. It's nice to see some of the greatest drivers in the world, but some aren't as top as I'd wish, and there's too many retired drivers. The British team is especially (relatively) weak. Let's hope to see some great ones from the Americas and Japan. |

Well, the Race of Champions jumped the shark and hired Felix Baumgartner...

There is no race of champions this year now - called off due to political unrest:

I'm so relieved my my mate & I (who went last year) decided on Friday we've not got the time to go this year!
I doubt if the holiday insurance would have covered this type of thing. |

I really enjoyed race of champions until recently. I went both years it was at Wembley. A mix of some great drivers and some cars completely unsuited to the tiny track made for some interesting driving! Over the past few years it's become a bit more of a snooze, with less top level drivers entering, and them filling it with motorcyclists and other people. I was disappointed when they announced felix baumgartner, I respect him and he's a great bloke, but he's not a 'champion'.

I would rather see real racing, for example like that Brazilian karting event or races with Legends.
And yes the real stars of now instead of former drivers. |

How about doing a FIA World Kart Masters in some European stadium? The top F1, WRC, WEC, WTCC, DTM, NASCAR, IndyCar and V8 drivers could face each other.

In the mid to late 90s there was a karting event in the Bercy stadium (Paris).

Because no one in Europs gives a damn about this event anymore.
Was a shambles when they took it away from Gran Canaria, where it still should be or somewhere like Lousada in Portugal. Watching an Aston going round something smaller than a go kart track aint a lot of fun sorry. |

An outdoor rallycross event (or tarmac only) with JRX cars in Southern Europe or Middle East (nice weather) that would be fun (and a lot of damage ).
