You leave my "uncle" Ray alone. And I'm not going to mention Dave Morgan!
My mistake was having another "uncle" - Derek Ongaro - who used to not only start all the F1 races but always sent postcards from wherever and sparked the interest. That and James Hunt in 1976 - but that is giving my age away. |

Faux pas
Mine was asking a group of trainees to check tread depth of the tyre wall in between sessions. Still makes me smile today!

British touring cars @ Croft in 2008 or 2009
Last race of the day was a Ginetta Race. A car pulls off just shy of post 7 (Any Croft regulars will know where I am) with smoke bellowing from under the bonnet, Guess what i forget to take with me from the post. Add to this my overalls were tied round my waist as the sun was beating down. The P/C on the day in question was also a Scottish Marshal. He has not let me forget that little faux pas!!!!!!!!! |
