the MG name may return to Le man next year in the shape of a Lola..lola will build the car and as far as I can see they will be called MG's..but it is not clear as yet whether they will build a LMP900 car or the lighter LMP675 car..but Lola did win le man this year in the 675 class.
a quote from lola cars says. “Everyone at Lola is very proud to be associated with such a great British name. Hopefully, we can add to the legendary history of the MG name by giving it success at Le Mans.” lets hope so. |

Well, as an Austin/Rover/MG enthusiast, I'd be very happy to see MG back in modern motor racing (I know the marque lives on in the MGOC and other championships), both at Le Mans and also in the BTCC with the 45.

Never understood the MG thing, so it doesn't really bother me - i'd prefer them to be called Lola's

I hope Lola build the MG entry as an LMP675 (and actually get the weight down to 675kg - this year's LMP675 entries were all approx 100kg over the minimum weight...)
The engines for LMP675 are either 3-litre normally aspirated or 2-litre turbo, so this gives a good opportunity for an MG 6R4 engine to be used. It's an engine which in turbo form in an XJ220 has lasted the 24hrs at La Sarthe. |

Say what!!!!!!
Hairdresser, I'm not!!! (I don't own an MGF)... I've never seen a hairdresser in a MG Midget, in fact, most of the owners don't have any hair!!! And, my car is to become a sprinter / racer... just like a Lola... So there. |

I believe fatbloke has just invented yet another racing series..racing hairdresses...cutting corners and shaving tenths of lap records...little snippets like this could just spark some interest in salons all around the world
