BSL 500 triple.
Does anybody in NZ know whether it is still being developed and/or raced? I have found an unofficial website for this bike, but the official site (www.buckley-sys.com) no longer exists. Any info would be appreciated, also contact info for Buckley Systems.

Wasn't Mark Willis meant to ride this bike in 1999? but the team went belly up.

Hi Gerrit.
I think the project has stoped now,but my mate works at Buckley's I'll find out for you.Also Buckley has taken over the running of Western Springs Speedway track so he might be more involved in that. |

Thanks, racing! ANY info would be greatly appreciated. I have just found BSL's address in Auckland in the NZ internet phone directory, so I will probably write them. But I'm not holding my breath, they probably won't bother to reply.....

The last time I saw it raced was at the 2001 LK500,unfortunately there isn't really a class within the national championship for these bikes to run in,and the reality is they weren't even competitive against the poduction superbikes.
I think they still bring them out occasionally,because I'm sure I have seen a report from Taupo in the last year,pity really bit of a change from all the Suzukis,Yamahas etc,but they didn't have the speed or reliability to race at a 500GP level. |

Spoke to my mate and it seems that the design and test team has been reduced,and reliability problems with the engine.
