Was not expecting that! I'm sure Porsche are thrilled about Buemi tweeting that out haha. Either way they continue to baffle when it comes to liveries.

It could even be a bit orange maybe? Hard to tell exactly. Can't wait to see it.

Same color as the 1970 winning 917. A good omen.

Bit of a poor move to tweet someone else's announcement like that. But I do love the new colour. Hopefully it's more racing-like rather than a design students project.

That's an exciting little first peak. If anyone is allowed to be white, it's Porsche, but nice to see they're shaking it up a bit!

If your interested in "good omen's", my brother pointed out to me that every time Audi Sport team Joest has gone to Le Man's with start numbers 7,8 & 9 they end the race 1st, 2nd & 3th.
I don't think its a retro thing but if it is why couldn't they gone with the 956/962 Rothmans colours? no race or rally car has ever looked bad in that livery. |

..because the 919 is supposed to be the inspirational heir to the 917, and Porsche's first win at Le Mans was in a red/orange and white car. |

Red is the new LMP1-white.

Exactly! I love seeing a little more emotion. I hope this isn't simply a one off. Porsche's marketing group would be wise to play on their history, as they did with the introduction of the program itself. Color wise I would have to say that it will be less of a dark red due to no direct light in the transport. The 1970 car can be mistaken for red in similar light conditions. I didn't think it possible for me to be more excited about the coming season, and yet..... |

Because that's a sponsor livery and not a Porsche livery, plus kind of controversial one in today's advertising even if they removed the texts.

In the image it still has the shark gills, as someone on here still wanted on the '15 car.

I suspect that the shark gills are on the high DF package.
