shaun giles almost.....
shaun giles is within 8 points of winning his 3rd consecutive australian superbike championship after the latest round at queensland raceway. jamie stauffer won 2 races on his yamaha, while giles won the other on his suzuki. the final round is at eastern creek in november i think
after 15 of 18 races..... 1. shaun giles 297 (8 wins) suzuki 2. josh brookes 230 (2 wins) honda 3. jamie stauffer 192 (3 wins) yamaha 4. stevn tozer 152 5. daniel stauffer 141 (1 win) yamaha |

I had the pleasure of interviewing Shaun during my work experience at Penrith Press a few years back. Great guy, down-to-earth and it's a shame that he's never really had a decent oppurtunity to race overseas.

maybe next year when the gsxr-1000 is racing in the world superbikes...

but are the Aussie Superbikes next year going to be to the same rules as the WSBK, British series etc....at the moment aren't they just production superbikes?

yes (they are production), but shaun is a professional racer and gsxr-1000 is a gsxr-1000....
